I was twittered by a young lady recently (what would they have thought of that opener 20 years ago?) to say that she had really enjoyed reading my novel 'The Trespass', describing it as a 'stonking' read, which I can only take as a compliment I guess. It's hugely satisfying to hear that one's labours have not been entirely in vain and not only that - it spurs one on to complete works in progress.
I've just released my children's novel 'The Ley Lines of Lushbury' on Amazon and feedback is starting to come in already, which is great. Up to this point, only those chicken fanciers at The Times newspaper and Chicken House Publishers had read it and, even though they decreed it as meriting a longlisting for the Times/Chicken House competition, there's always that nagging doubt at the back of the mind.....is it any good? (yes, it's great. Ed)
I'll be giving away some signed copies of 'The Ley Lines of Lushbury' over the Christmas period. If you're interested, drop me a line! The deal is - I send you a promotional copy - you write a review on Amazon. Sounds fair? Uh huh? Think of it as a good deed to encourage the lonely author in his windswept tower......he needs the power of positive feedback...
